چکیده
Two types of thickener systems, lithium complex (LiX) and polypropylene (PP), were chosen to evaluate graphite, graphene oxide (GO) reduced (rGO) as grease additives at a concentration 0.1 wt%. To enhance the additive dispersibility, mixture polyalphaolefin oil (PAO) soluble synthetic polyalkylene glycol (OSP-68) was used base oil. The greases evaluated in i) silver-coated copper contacts simulating high-load electrical contact applications subjected fretting ii) steel/steel 4-ball wear test equipment. showed no positive effect on friction wear, neither nor tests. However, there is statistically significant difference scar diameter steel between two types, LiX PP. Thus, PP-grease lubricated more tribofilms iron constituents, indicating metal-to-metal contact. Hence, type has larger impact lubricating performance than do GO rGO additions. results demonstrate that addition graphene-based materials improve not straightforward. Rather, grease/graphene-based system many parameters influence results. work needed obtain better understanding possibly effects from additives.

Antibacterial activity of graphite, graphite oxide, graphene oxide, and reduced graphene oxide: membrane and oxidative stress.
Health and environmental impacts of graphene-based materials need to be thoroughly evaluated before their potential applications. Graphene has strong cytotoxicity toward bacteria. To better understand its antimicrobial mechanism, we compared the antibacterial activity of four types of graphene-based materials (graphite (Gt), graphite oxide (GtO), graphene oxide (GO), and reduced graphene oxide ...
متن کاملTribological Behaviors of Graphene and Graphene Oxide as Water-Based Lubricant Additives for Magnesium Alloy/Steel Contacts
The tribological behaviors of graphene and graphene oxide (GO) as water-based lubricant additives were evaluated by use of a reciprocating ball-on-plate tribometer for magnesium alloy-steel contacts. Three sets of test conditions were examined to investigate the effect of concentration, the capacity of carrying load and the endurance of the lubrication film, respectively. The results showed tha...
متن کاملReduced Graphene Oxide-Cr2O3 Nanocomposite as Electrode Material in Supercapacitors
In recent years, electrochemical supercapacitors have received considerable attention from many researchers. Metal oxides such as chromium oxide with high redox activity, high specific capacity, and excellent reversibility are suitable alternatives to ruthenium oxide in supercapacitor applications. In this study, first, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized by the modified Hummers method. The syn...

Hydrophobicity properties of graphite and green synthesized graphene (gsG) from exfoliated graphite/GO towards polymer membrane characteristic and properties at different weight percentage concentrations (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 wt. %) were investigated. PSf/graphite and PSf/gsG membranes were characterized in term of hydrophobicity, surface bonding, surface roughness and porosity. FTIR peaks revealed...

We present a general study on a high performance supercapacitor based on intercalated reduced graphene oxide with carbon black nanoparticles. Graphene oxide sheets were synthesized by oxidation and exfoliation of natural graphite and were reduced using hydroiodic acid in the presence of carbon black nanoparticles. Graphene paper was fabricated by one-step procedure via simultaneous reducing and...
